Fresh on the heels of releasing his third album, Jay Rock was given center stage at the 2018 BET Awards. The Watts, California MC stood in no one’s shadow as he performed “Win,” the second single from Redemption. Awards host Jamie Foxx joined the Top Dawg Entertainment MC on stage for the performance, dancing with conviction. Jay Rock’s single became an anthem on TV.

An assortment of dancers in cheerleader-style warm-ups joined the MC on stage for a charged-up performance that set the energy level for tonight’s awards. Often contained, an especially animated Rock bounced and got the celebrity-filled crowd (including Kevin Hart, DJ Khaled, Donald Glover, and LL Cool J) in motion with his infectious single. This version featured lyrics on screen and a live horn section.

Redemption features J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and SZA.
