Kanye West Confirms That Watch The Throne 2 Is Coming Soon

Seven years and one month ago, JAY-Z and Kanye West released their joint album Watch The Throne. The Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam Records release arrived at a time when the mentor and onetime pupil were at the top of the Rap game. The 2011 release scored Jay and ‘Ye seven Grammy nominations, a #1 chart position, and a platinum certification.

In the seven years since Watch The Throne, Jay and Kanye’s relationship has significantly changed. In late 2016, just before a series of events that would eventually end in West’s hospitalization, the superstar whose career accelerated alongside Jay began criticizing his mentor publicly. In 2017, JAY-Z addressed the pair’s differences on 4:44. Meanwhile, there were reports that the two Watch The Throne collaborators may be suing one another after a dispute surrounding Tidal and breach of contract.
