Planet Asia & D.I.T.C. Affiliate Milano Constantine Link For Lyrical Onslaught (Video)
Fresno, California’s Planet Asia has been posted up in New York City for the past couple of months. The purpose of the extended visit is to link up with like-minded rappers from all across the five boroughs and beyond. On top of recording an impressive amount of guest verses while in “the city that never sleeps,” P.A. just dropped a new EP, A.G.E. (All Gold Everything), and has joint albums in the bag with Milano Constantine and 38 Spesh.
King Medallions’ project with Milano is simply titled DJ Enyoutee Presents The Planet Asia & Milano Constantine EP and hits digital and streaming sites on November 8. It is currently available for pre-order. For any Heads unfamiliar with Constantine, he is a close and longtime affiliate of D.I.T.C., who dropped a Showbiz-produced album earlier this year, Boulevard Author. The first video single from Asia and the MC formerly known as Ambush dropped today and is entitled “Milano Medallions.”
Rah Digga & Planet Asia Are Lyrical Legends Bringing Doomsday To All Pretenders (Audio)
The sparse beat is produced by DiFuture, who utilizes short bursts of strings and pounding drums to achieve the cut’s tense feel. The scratched chorus is handled by the DJ who is apparently behind these lyricists joining forces, Enyoutee. The visuals were filmed on a mild evening outside the world-famous Apollo Theater in Harlem.
Medallions is first up to bat and wastes no time getting into it. “Yo, Milano, Medallions, we the majesties / Nothin’ but Nautica, Air Tech Agassi’s / Puffin’ on ganja with haircuts with family / It’s like camping with Christian Dior canopies / Colorful canvases, I plan to exist / To stand the test of time, check the rhyme, meet the manuscript / I’m on my underground-tape sh*t / My fan-base straight out the zoo, we going ape-sh*t / Overtime, my working get overlapped / My flow is like a difficult pose upon the yoga-mat.” That’s only a small sampling of the syncopated bars he spits. Milano does more than hold his own, dropping a verse that gives the Cali Agent a run for his money.
