Marvel’s Mash-Up’s Continue, Care Of Nas, 50 Cent, The Roots & Pete Rock
Earlier this month, Marvel released a number of mash-up’s between their flagship comic book characters, and classic Hip-Hop albums. From Eric B. & Rakim to Wu-Tang Clan, Marvel wove in Spiderman, X-Men, and Squadron Supreme into iconic artwork.
Ten days later, Marvel Comic Group’s Editor-In-Chief Axel Alonso released four more. However, the mostly mid-1990s Marvel-mashed artwork is animated. The four albums all come from artists not represented in the first patch, though Spiderman reappeared. The LPs come courtesy of Nas’ Illmatic, Pete Rock & CL Smooth’s Mecca and The Soul Brother, 50 Cent’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, and The Roots’ Illadelph Halflife.
Here is the quartet of additions:
Spiderman x Nas’ Illmatic
The Avengers x The Roots’ Illadelph Halflife
Hawkeye x Pete Rock & CL Smooth’s Mecca And The Soul Brother
Iron Man x 50 Cent’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin’
