Eric B. & Rakim Meet Spiderman As Marvel Mashes Up Hip-Hop & Super Heroes

From Tony Starks to MF DOOM, CZARFACE to Dr. Dooom, Hip-Hop and comics have a long history together. Marvel, a 75-year publisher of some of the world’s most beloved titles (Spiderman, Hulk, Captain America, X-Men, The Fanatastic Four, etc.) knows this. That’s why, beginning this October, they will be releasing “Hip-Hop Variants,” blending some classic Hip-Hop titles with iconic comic characters.

UpRoxx,, and Reddit got the early scoop in the form of samples, with some of AFH’s favorites shared below:

Ms. Marvel x Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

The Amazing Spider-Man x A Tribe Called Quest’s Midnight Marauders

Howard the Duck x Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version

X-Men x De La Soul’s 3 Feet High and Rising

Squadron Supreme x Wu-Tang Clan’s Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers

Spider-Man & Deadpool x Eric. B & Rakim’s Paid In Full
