Killer Mike Owns The Moment On A Wavy, Electronic Track With Lushlife (Audio)
Killer Mike has worked with a complete cross-section of the music industry. Mike Bigga has cut tracks with Ice Cube, Gucci Mane, Cunninlynguists, and Jay Z, all resulting in satisfied fans. That’s before Heads even get to Run The Jewels, Purple Ribbon, or Grind Time Rap Gang works.
Today, Mike lines up against Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based indie MC/producer Lushlife. Lush’, who has previously worked with Styles P and toured with RJD2, approaches “The Ecstatic Cult” totally differently than Mike. Each MC gets back to their B.S. (in a great way), in a moment filled with bravado. The song, produced by CSLSX, features dreamy vocals samples and a dense-and-dynamic drum arrangement. The synergy works.
If you like these gestalt vibes, Lush’s next album, Ritualize (February 9) will also feature Freeway, RJD2, and Ariel Pink.
