Fabolous Is Facing 4 Felony Counts In A Domestic Violence Case

Fabolous is facing serious charges stemming from an alleged altercation with his current partner, Emily B. The Brooklyn, New York rapper is accused of violently assaulting her and has reportedly been indicted on four felony charges by a grand jury in New Jersey, the state where the allegations took place.

According to TMZ, the MC born John David Jackson was indicted last week on one count of domestic violence with significant violent injury, two counts of threatening to kill and one count of possession of a weapon. The weapon in question is allegedly a pair of scissors. These charges are in part the result of footage captured on film posted by TMZ in March. In the footage, Fab is seen arguing with Emily and her father and apparently brandishing the weapon. TMZ reports that each of the four felonies Fab is charged with is a third-degree crime and he could face five years in prison for each charge. Fab has yet to make a public statement about these developments.

In the wake of the video’s release, the attorney for Fabolous vehemently denied his client had committed any crime. According to Billboard, Alberto Ebanks said in a statement, “I’ve known Fab close to 20 years and believe he is incapable of engaging in the alleged conduct.”

Emily B and Fabolous are reportedly still a couple despite these allegations. Fab recently appeared on Royce 5’9’s Book of Ryan alongside Nickel Nine, Jadakiss and Pusha T on “Summer On Lock.”
