With so much attention being paid to lyrics as of late (thanks to a young MC out of Compton), an entire mixtape without any words whatsoever is quite refreshing to hear. Which brings us to 4EvaNaDay (Instrumentals), Big K.R.I.T.’s latest project that features 15 soothing, self-produced beats from the project he dropped a year ago that shares the same name. Although usually praised solely for his flow, K.R.I.T. also entirely produced, arranged, and mixed 4EvaNaDay himself. Hearing the tracks stripped of any vocals definitely lets the southern MC’s skills behind the switchboard shine through.
