Young Guru Drops Knowledge During His First Class At USC (Video)

Lessons and knowledge about music from the greats usually stays within the Hip-Hop artist community, but Young Guru is breaking the mold and bringing his talents to the classroom. The prolific Delaware native, and Roc-A-Fella Records/Roc Nation producer is now an artist-in-residence at USC’s Thorton School of Music. His first class seems to have gone very well according to the Vice Dean of Contemporary Music at USC, stating He immediately understood scope and sequence, how to line up ideas through logic and connectivity in a way, that really I hadn’t had a chance to experience before.”

Guru’s been hard at work with Jay Z and Freeway in the last 12 months, it’s amazing that he’s added this to his stacked plate.
