This year’s Afropunk Fest in Brooklyn concluded with surprise guests of epic proportions. The festival, which included performances by Me’shell Ndegeocello, SZA, The Internet, Fishbone, Body Count and more, culminated with a performance by D’Angelo with The Legendary Roots Crew. The ensemble tore through some of D’s originals and an assortment of songs by the likes of Fishbone, Bob Marley, Funkadelic, The Ohio Players and more. One of the most amazing moments was a gut-busting rendition of Prince’s B-side Funk/Rock jam, “She’s Always in My Hair.” Check out the video of the performance.
