Hudson Mohawke is one of the plethora of artists in the G.O.O.D Music ensemble. Heads who like “Mercy” and “Blood On The Leaves” are familiar with his handiwork within the fold of hits, however the Glasgow, Scotland producer/DJ has a decade of work in the game, with ties to (other) respected labels like Ubiquity (Sa-Ra Creative Partners, Platinum Pied Pipers) and Warp (Flying Lotus, Anti-Pop Consortium).

Hudson is versatile and versed in music. So in this week’s Diplo & Friends mix, following a nice alternative to the norm, DJ Premier’s largely Rock & Roll mix, Mohawk steps in.

This mix is all over the place, from Hudson’s TNGHT Remix of Kanye’s “Cold,” to some fresh Rah Digga. It’s free form. Heads will surely appreciate that an artist poised to be a star in the growing Hip-Hop/EDM fusion also cues up some obscure rarities by D.I.T.C & Big Pun, Madlib, Slum Village, Roc Marciano, and even the late Camu Tao (MHz, Weathermen).

No matter what side of things you’re on, this is a charged mix that will absolutely open you up to some new music.
