Mary J. Blige Teams With Sam Smith for Some Moody House Music with MJ Cole (Audio)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home. But, there are doubters, so, we need your help. If you have enjoyed anything on AFH over the last 7 years, we are asking you to subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Though she is known as the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige has been known to tear down some house jams in her day too. From “Let No Man Put Asunder” to her recent turns with Disclosure, Mary’s emotive tone is the perfect complement to soulful club music. Her latest foray into the land of higher BPMs is with another Disclosure collaborator, Sam Smith, on background vocals. Together, the two create some mood music with UK House producer MJ Cole. Check out “Nobody But You” from Mary’s forthcoming The London Sessions LP.
