The Internets were set on fire late last week at the announcement that, after 15 years, D’Angelo was releasing his next album, titled Black Messiah, possibly as early as this week. The din is surely to grow louder as he premieres an official studio version of his song “Sugah Daddy” (via Red Bull), presumably his first single from the album. Core fans will recognize the song as one D’Angelo has been performing live for the last few years. The studio version, also featuring The Vanguard, is a bit more polished without sacrificing the soul. Check it out.
