Nas’ Illmatic was not the only Hip-Hop classic worthy of a documentary. Over the weekend at The Sundance Film Festival, a trailer was premiered for The Purple Tape Files, a forthcoming film about the making of Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…, guest starring Ghostface Killah as Tony Starks.

The album turns 20 years old on August 1st of this year and the film will be part of that 20th anniversary celebration. The Purple Tape Files will give fans the in-depth story behind the making of the album, as well as a look at Wu-Tang Clan history, generally, during that era. Featured participants in the film include Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Method Man and U-God, as well as non-Wu affiliates like Xzibit, DJ Muggs (of Cypress Hill), Quincy Jones, Nas and more. Check out the trailer.
