Starz’s original series Power took many by surprise when it premiered last year. The show, which is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” and stars Omari Hardwick (Being Mary Jane), Naturi Naughton (Notorious), 50 and others, was a fresh new take on the proverbial crime boss who is trying to go legit. The show was stylishly shot, well-acted and written with enough depth and complexity to elicit some serious binge watching of the eight episode first season.

Now with fans abuzz about Empire, Fox’s series with a similar premise on a very basic level but executed completely differently, Starz brings their series back into the zeitgeist with a very intriguing trailer for Season 2. 50 Cent looks to play a much more prominent on screen role in the forthcoming cycle and fissures that developed between the characters in Season 1 seem to be deepening.
