Ab-Soul Sets an Alchemist Track on Fire with 47 Bars (Audio)

Ab-Soul spits some of the most complex rhymes in Hip-Hop these days. The TDE all-star’s labyrinthian lyrics often play out like a Davinci code of insider references and hidden messages for those willing to go deeper and step outside the trap.

Alchemist laces Soulo with a spaced out track and Ab goes to work with a verse he says is “ghostwritten by Capital STEEZ,” the late member of Pro Era. He states up top that he might get in trouble with his record label for releasing the track, then proceeds to weave a dense stew of references to Tupac, Jay Z, Pro Era, TDE, Rapsody, Spiderman, existentialism and more. There are no hooks or frills, just Ab-Soul going in for “47 Bars.” Check it out.
