The history between Big Daddy Kane and Biz Markie runs deep. As Cold Chillin’ Records label-mates, the two were featured on some classic collaborations in the late 80s and early 90s, including “Just Rhymin’ with Biz” and “Erase Racism.”

They also did countless shows together during this period and a magical moment was captured back stage at one such event. During an interview with a notably slim Biz, Kane crashed the party for an impromptu freestyle with Biz supplying the human beatbox. Watch Biz’s face light up as the young and energetic Kane warms it up with an emphatic verse. Check out the video (the freestyle start at around 25 seconds in).
