Lloyd Banks Sounds Like He Was Built to Flow on This Raekwon Classic (Audio)
Lloyd Banks is on a mission with these takeovers of classic 90s Hip-Hop beats. After rocking out over Black Moon’s “How Many MCs” earlier in the week, Banks serves up some icy cold lyrics over the “Criminology” beat RZA concocted for Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx second single.
Banks, whose croaky growl is always menacing, sounds particularly hungry on the track, boasting he’s the “only _____ in the top 5 holdin’ two spots.” His style and tone feel right at home on the song first made famous by Rae and Ghostface Killah.
At the end of the freestyle, Banks reminds that these 90s loosies are his way of building toward the release of The Cold Corner 3 mixtape. Check it out.
