Rapsody’s profile has taken on new heights over the last few weeks after her inclusion as one of only two guest MCs on Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly album. Now, she and Kendrick have something else in common as each has dropped rough and rugged freestyles over The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Who Shot Ya” track.

While in NYC, Rapsody popped by Statik Selektah’s Shade 45 Showoff Radio show and, while at the mic, Statik dropped the thunderous cut. As it seems to inspire in every MC who graces it, the beat brought out the beast in Rap. Watch how she goes in as 9th Wonder, her Jamla Squad general, looks on in the background.
