Rapsody Recruits Joey Bada$$ for the Remix to “Don’t Need It” (Audio)

Rapsody brings in Joey Bada$$ for the remix to her song, “Don’t Need It” from her 2014 album, Beauty & The Beast. In addition to words from the “Badman,” she adds a blistering new third verse that stunts heavily on those who continue to sleep on her outsized lyrical skills.

After Joey’s sweet sixteen, Rapsody heats things up with a quick flex about her recent high profile turn on Kendrick Lamar’s “Complexion (A Zulu Love),” from To Pimp A Butterfly. “I stay blacking out on these records, no question by now you all should no my complexion,” says Rap. She also goes on to question why so many seem to still be be unwilling to support her, wondering if sexism may be playing a factor. “See, why y’all seem so hesitant to fuck with me? Is it pride due to my estrogen? Yeah, luckily air your shit out like Smoky in shrubbery. That’s a Black Friday. That’s a line crazier than Black Fridays…” Whoa.
