Ever See This Vintage Footage of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince Performing in 1987 (Video)

With the 25th anniversary of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air recently passing, here’s a look back at what started it all for both Will Smith and Jeff Townes. Before the TV shows, film careers and international DJ tours, they were DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, and they were among Hip-Hop’s best performers.

On the title track to their debut album, Rock the House, Jeff steps aside while the Human Jukebox Ready Rock C takes over as Will’s musical accompaniment. Rock C is more than a human beatbox. He is literally a one man band with his ability to re-produce theme songs, scratches and other sound effects, all while holding down the beat. Here’s footage of the pair performing the routine live, after an awesome display by Jeff on the wheels and a freestyle by The Fresh Prince that, sadly, is cut off before its conclusion. Take a look (and yes, that is KRS-One in the beginning of the clip).
