Scarface Plays Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” On Guitar (Video)

As an MC, Producer and author, Scarface is a man of many talents. Over the years, he’s also shown himself to be an able guitarist. In concert, the MC born Brad Jordan has been known to put down the mic and pick up the six-string to pluck out a tune or two. In the past, he’s been captured playing bits of Van Halen’s “Drop Dead Legs” and the Blues, as well as The Eagles’ “Hotel California” (RIP Glenn Frey). However, one of his all-time favorites appears to be Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here,” the title track to their 9th studio album.

During the 2013 Paid Dues Festival, Face played the song on acoustic guitar while thousands of onlookers watched in awe. Sama’an Ashrawi was onstage to capture the experience up close and personal, further conveying the intimacy of the moment. Toward the end, Scarface is joined by a friend who even sings some of the vocals…although the crowd had joined in on a sing-a-long well before. It is a beautiful reminder of the power of great music, in any genre.
