Nick Grant Spits A Blazing Hot Freestyle That Melts Raekwon’s Ice Cream (Video)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home. But, there are doubters, so, we need your help. If you have enjoyed anything on AFH over the last 7 years, we are asking you to subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

At the top of 2017, Nick Grant released his major label debut album, Return Of The Cool. The Epic Records artist chose a bold title, but he’s backed it up. South Carolina’s own has made a name for himself through sheer skills above feature-driven guest-work. Through dope freestyle appearances, well-executed concepts, and grabbing music videos, Andre 3000, Nas, Bun B, Pusha T and other supreme veteran lyricists have shown their cosign.

Appearing on Westwood TV, Nick proves that even with an album out, he still enjoys free-form flowin’. Rapping over Raekwon’s classic “Ice Cream” instrumental, Grant delivers slick, savvy bars with crisp clarity, careful timing, and a lot of finesse. The raps are braggy, but moving, thanks to a barrage of punchlines, stuffed with Rap fan references.

Not just due to a mid-1990s RZA beat, but this particular freestyle has nostalgic vibes to it.
