Nas & Lauryn Hill Plan To Rule The World Together On Tour

On September 7, Nas and Lauryn Hill will kick off a 17-date joint tour that will bring the “If I Ruled the World” collaborators across the United States and into Canada. Though Ms. Hill has been touring (sometimes in notorious fashion) on and off for nearly two decades off the strength of her one and only solo LP, Nas’ decision to join has many speculating that the announcement is just the latest piece of news to suggest the arrival of his next album is imminent. In April, the legendary MC hopped on a DJ Shadow record, “Systematic,” with a handful of other loosies in its wake. Interestingly, September 9 – just two days after his tour with Lauryn Hill kicks off – will mark a year to the date that DJ Khaled dropped the video for the tantalizingly titled “Nas Album Done.” Continuing to fuel the flames was Nas’ brother, Jungle, who just last week took to Instagram to post a photo of Nas in the studio with “#NasAlbumDone” in the caption.

Ready Or Not, Here Is One Of Lauryn Hill’s Best Performances In Years (Video)

As of today (May 30), no official word regarding the supposed album has been announced, but Heads can be assured that, at the very least, two of Hip-Hop’s most revered voices will appear on stage together, later this year. It won’t be their first joint tour, either. In 2012, the two lit up international stages on the “Good Life/Black Rage” tour, which just so happened to be a promotional tour for Nas’ then-recently released (and most recent) LP, Life Is Good.
