Method Man Is Releasing The Meth Lab 2. He Recruits Dave East To Cook With Him (Video)

After a relatively quiet 2016, Method Man has started off 2017 on a tear. He has appeared on six songs in as many months, and even signed on to co-host a Rap battle show titled Drop The Mic. Now, it appears Meth is gearing up to release a sequel to his 2015 compilation album, The Meth Lab. That album, distributed by Tommy Boy Records, featured Method Man on nearly every song, along with a cast of MCs that featured Raekwon, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, Redman, Hanz On, Street Life and several others.

The sequel to the album is titled Meth Lab 2: The Lithium. Its first release was Meth’s first of the year, the soulful “Eviction,” featuring Dave East, Max B, frequent Wu-Tang Clan collaborator Joe Young, and Max B. Now, five months later, Meth follows up with the song’s video, and the announcement of the upcoming album.

A website offering merchandise in connection with Meth Lab 2 also reveals that the album will feature N.O.R.E., Sheek Louch and Fred The Godson, in addition to East and Hanz On. The site offers t-shirts, sweatshirts, vinyl and more. No release date has been disclosed, but the album is said to be coming soon, in the video’s description.
