Apollo Brown and Planet Asia have struck again with a second single “Aura” from their upcoming album Anchovies. The songs serve as a formidable addition to one of Detroit’s best beat-smiths and the Cali Agent MC’s mutual catalog and further displays their undeniable synergy.

In similar fashion to their initial collaboration on A.B.’s 2015 album Grandeur, the veteran producer continues his penchant for moody, dusty vinyl Soul sample loops and bass-throbbing production to supplement Asia’s incessant battle-ready bars yet relaxed witty one-liners. The video for “Aura” shows various locations around Motown at night to reflect the darkened mood of the track.

You can bet that their upcoming 15-track album’s with straightforward boom-bap reminiscent of the ’90s underground and food-for-thought lyrics won’t have their “anchovies” leave a bad taste in their longtime fans’ mouths.
