Dave Chappelle Spoofs “Stranger Things” In The Trailer For His New Comedy Special (Video)

There may be new incentive to stay in on this New Year’s Eve. It has been announced that Dave Chappelle’s third stand-up special of 2017 will be arriving on the last day of the year.

Already in ’17, Chappelle released The Age Of Spin and Deep In The Heart Of Texas the same day back in March. These specials, filmed at separate times, were part of the comedian’s three-special deal with Netflix. News of that partnership released one year ago to the week that word of the third special hit. Titled Equanimity, it arrives December 31.

As he did with the first two specials, the superstar stand-up released a trailer. This one features a spoof on another Netflix hit, Stranger Things.

In the brief spot, it sounds like Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah provides some theme music. This summer, Dave celebrated 30 years in comedy with a residency at Radio City Music Hall. There, he shared sets with musicians he admires. It included Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def), The Roots, Lauryn Hill, and Erykah Badu.
