The drummer, Chris “Daddy” Dave has kept time on many major projects in his prolific career, but until now, had yet to release his own project. Chris Dave & The Drumhedz is set to drop on January 26 and will feature Anderson .Paak, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Phonte, Elzhi and more.

The outer worldly track, “Job Well Done,” is the third single off the project, following “Destiny N Stereo,” and “Dat Feelin.”

Starting on an outlandish tip, the track then flips into a jazzy, smooth journey that doesn’t seem of this planet. Featuring very two distinctive voices, Top Dawg Entertainment’s SiR as well as Anna Wise of Sonnymoon (whom Heads have heard on four separate Kendrick Lamar albums), adds to the dreamy setting of the song. Daddy’s percussion is never jarring. Instead, he massages the production, creating a full, all-encompassing sound.
