MF DOOM & CZARFACE Are Releasing A Joint Album. Here’s The First Song (Audio)

In 2013, Wu-Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck joined forces with 7L & Esoteric to form the group, CZARFACE. Since then, the collective has released four albums filled with grimy, no frills underground Hip-Hop. Along the way, they’ve worked with a who’s who of MCs, including Ghostface Killah, Roc Marciano, Action Bronson, Vinnie Paz, GZA, Method Man, Large Professor, Conway, R.A. The Rugged Man and more. One of their most celebrated collaborations was 2015’s “Ka-Bang!,” featuring MF DOOM, from their Every Hero Needs A Villain album.

That album’s title has proven to be foreshadowing as today the CZARFACE heroes have announced, via Pitchfork, that they are releasing a full album with the masked villain, DOOM. The project is titled Czarface Meets Metalface!, and will be released by Get Down Records on March 30. Pre-orders are available now.

With the announcement, the 4-man group has also shared the album’s first release, “Nautical Depth.” The song features the kind of ominous track and hard-hitting rhymes that have colored much of CZARFACE and DOOM’s work over the years.

According to Pitchfork, Czarface Meets Metalface! also will feature appearances from Open Mike Eagle and Jedi Mind Tricks’ Vinnie Paz.
