Logic Has Recruited The Whole Wu-Tang Clan For His Next Album (Video)

On 1993’s “Wu-Tang 7th Chamber,” Ghostface Killah rapped, “I’m hot, top notch, Ghost thinks with logic /
Flashback’s how I attacked your whole project.” That lyric takes on new meaning based on an upcoming collaboration. The rapper known as Logic was just three years old when Wu-Tang Clan released Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). However, the Gaithersburg, Maryland MC/producer is a big fan of the killa bees from Shaolin.

Logic’s upcoming YSIV (Young Sinatra 5) is slated to include all living members of the Wu. “You know how like sometimes like you not supposed to give secrets about your album, but then you tell everybody that you have the entire Wu-Tang Clan featured on your album?” Logic revealed in an Instagram story today. The clip cuts off as Bobby lists RZA, GZA, Inspectah Deck, on the LP. The album is due September 28. It is unclear if the Clan is on one track together, or scattered throughout. Def Jam Records also shared the video permanently in a tweet:

Logic Freestyles Over Method Man’s Beat & Brings Even More Pain (Video)

Logic rapped over the RZA-produced “Bring The Pain” instrumental used by Method Man when he announced the project last month. Earlier this year, Logic released Bobby Tarantino II, his second consecutive #1 project.

In another video, Logic added, “I’ma be honest: this is one of the best albums I ever made. It’s so boom-bap, it’s so Hip-Hop, and the reason it’s so special is ’cause if I release boom-bap after boom-bap after boom-bap, it wouldn’t be f*ckin’ that dope. You gotta put some Trap in that sh*t.”

Pharoahe Monch Bodies An Official Wu-Tang Clan Remix With Sean Price & Tek (Audio)

The Wu is currently touring for their 25th anniversary of the classic debut. Last year, the collective released The Saga Continues. Notably, founding member U-God sat out the LP produced by longtime RZA under-study DJ Mathematics. In December, Golden Arms hopped on a remix of single “Hood Go Bang!,” featuring Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and close affiliate Redman.

This year, U-God dropped Venom, while Inspectah Deck teamed with 7L & Esoteric as well as MF DOOM for CZARFACE Meets Metal Face. Method Man is presently at work on a sequel to The Meth Lab.
