Nas & Mary J. Blige On Tour Is All We Need. Here’s The 411.

Nas and Mary J. Blige are embarking on their first ever collaborative tour this summer. Beginning in July, the artists with extensive creative history together will co-headline a North American run with stops in 22 cities between the United States and Canada. Previously, the two New York music veterans who burst onto the scene at the same time, collaborated on Mary’s 1997 “Love Is All We Need” single (embedded below), her 2000 track “Sincerity,” and 2011’s “Feel Inside.” Additionally, M.J.B. appeared on Nas’ 2011 “Reach Out” along with a Bravehearts collaboration.

Last year, Nas released the Kanye West-produced Nasir. He has since said he is working on an album with production from Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA and Swizz Beatz. In 2013, M.J.B. released her 13th album, Strength Of A Woman. Since then, the Yonkers representative was twice nominated for an Oscar after her work in Mudbound. Later this week (April 19), Nas’ debut, Illmatic, turns 25 years old.
