Krayzie Bone Is In The Hospital Fighting For His Life
It has been reported that Bone Thugs-n-Harmony co-founder Krayzie Bone is currently fighting for his life in a Los Angeles, California hospital. According to AllHipHop, sources close to Bone have revealed that the Grammy Award-winning veteran MC checked into medical care on Friday (September 22), and his condition has worsened. The 50-year-old artist, born Anthony Henderson, suffers from sarcoidosis. It is an inflammatory disease in which the immune system overreacts, causing groups of cells to form clusters of inflamed tissue. This can occur in multiple organs.
Per AHH, after Krayzie underwent a CAT scan, the medical staff discovered an artery was leaking inside one of his lungs. The Cleveland, Ohio native then underwent surgery, but the bleeding persisted. Reports suggest that Krayzie may be on a breathing machine.
BTNH co-founder Bizzy Bone took to Instagram with a simple message in his story: “Pray 4 Kray.” He added, “Can’t sleep. Sometimes you just gotta pray.”
In a decorated group and solo career, Krayzie has twice topped the charts with Bone Thugs. His 1999 solo debut, Thug Mentality, earned a platinum plaque. Over the years, Krayzie has partnered with Bizzy and Tha Outlawz’ Young Noble for collaboration albums. He also worked with Mariah Carey, Biggie Smalls, Ice Cube, and appeared as the lone guest on Chamillionaire’s chart-topping hit “Ridin’.”
Last year it was reported that members of Tha Dogg Pound and BTNH have formed a super group. In 2023, Kray’ released QuickFix: Level 3: Level Up.
Last month, Krayzie joined his band-mates at LL Cool J & The Roots’ F.O.R.C.E. Tour stop in Cleveland. That same month, the city’s intersection of E. 99th Street and St. Clair Avenue was renamed “Bone Thugs-n-Harmony Way.” Krayzie and other members of the group have made Southern California their second home for over 30 years.
