Camp Lo Present The Ups & Downs Of A Relationship In Their Latest Ski Beatz Collaboration (Video)

Camp Lo and Ski Beatz have been collaborating for almost 20 years. We first heard Sonny Cheeba, Geechie Suede and Ski combine forces on the groovy 1997 album, Uptown Saturday Night. They subsequently went on to make three more projects together, before venturing in a new direction with 2009’s Stone & Rob: Caught On Tape. Now, after the Lo teamed with another iconic producer, Pete Rock, for a couple of installments of 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s, they have come together again with Ski to reignite the creative spark.

The trio’s new LP, Ragtime Hightime, finds them exploring a new artistic connection with the live-instrumentation of the beat-smith and the lyricism of the legendary duo. The first single from the album released via Nature Sounds Music, “Bright Lights,” was a psychedelic take on face paint and black light.

Today (May 18), the artists release their second single “You.” In the video, Sonny and Geechie present the ups and downs of a relationship through four stages–the meeting, date night, counseling and arguing. They let viewers know that falling in love may seem easy, but staying in love might be too tricky. Check out the video.
