Troy Ave Releases a New Banger With 50 Cent (Audio)

While artists like Joey Bada$$ and Action Bronson brought back a New York Rap sound akin to 90s acts like Buckshot and Ghostface Killah, Troy Ave drew his influences from artists who debuted a few years later, like Mase and 50 Cent. And, since he burst onto the scene a few years ago, the up and coming Brooklyn-born MC has worked extensively several member of G-Unit, including 50, himself.

Ave re-teams with the G-Unit general on his latest, “Bang Bang.” The sparse track, which was produced by Yankee and Troy, himself, features nothing but ominous keys and a thumping beat. 50 weaves in two short but potent verses, and he’s in mixtape mode.
