Ghostface Killah & Kxng Crooked Claim Rap Royalty In A New Video

Ghostface Killah recently announced that he’s dropping a new album. With that news, came “Saigon Velour,” a trademark Tony Starks-esque single that featured Snoop Dogg and E-40. October 5’s The Lost Tapes appears to be an opportunity for Ghost Deini to reach back into his Ironman/Supreme Clientele bag and provide an updated sound while incorporating the inspiration of some of his finest work.

Sophomore single “Buckingham Palace” (featuring KXNG Crooked, Benny The Butcher, and .38 Spesh) now arrives as a video. Directed by Planet Asia-affiliated production duo DirtyDiggs, the video is little more than Wu-Tang Clan show performance footage and single shots of the rest of the MCs on the track rapping in dark alleys and record store hallways. However, when it comes to some Rap styles, perhaps simpler is better, especially when capturing a throwback vibe. Each lyricist on the song reminds fans that veterans like Ghost’ and Crooked I can still spit at a high level, while relative newcomers like Griselda’s Benny and Kool G Rap affiliate Spesh prove that MCing culture is here to stay.
