Bone Thugs Help Out A Fan Who Had A Thuggish Ruggish Time In Cleveland (Video)

After more than 25 years making albums, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has fans from across the globe. One particular fan, Japanese rapper Ryo Muranaka, took things to extremes to meet the group. According to reports, Ryo sold his possessions to raise money to travel to Cleveland, Ohio, the hometown of the legendary group.

Per reports, the plan was traveling 6,000 miles to garner the collective’s attention. That journey mirrored one 25-plus years ago, when the group bought one-way bus tickets to California to campaign outside of Ruthless Records. Eventually, the harmonic MCs piqued the interest of founder Eazy-E and fellow Cleveland native, label CEO Jerry Heller. By the mid-1990s, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony revived mainstream popularity for the record company formerly responsible for N.W.A., J.J. Fad, and The D.O.C.

However, things did not go according to plan for 2019’s Rap hopeful. Upon arriving in Bone’s St. Clair-Superior section of the city this week, Ryo was allegedly robbed of his luggage in the streets of Cleveland. Local activists James Norton and Kwas Bibbs discovered Muranaka and offered to help.

As this story has garnered greater addition, B.T.N.H has also gotten involved. “I’ll get the man a ticket to get back home,” Bizzy Bone told local news station FOX 8. He was not in Cleveland at the time, but instead in California recording new music. “I’m putting my hands out there on behalf of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony to say we do care. And we just want to help the kid, and we appreciate him coming to see us.” Meanwhile, Krayzie offered to get Ryu some clothes after the man was found stranded in the streets. Bone Thugs is currently on tour, a fact that the Japanese artist must not have known.
