Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Nice & Smooth Each Announce Tour Dates
Spring and summer concert season is officially upon us. Two acclaimed Hip-Hop duos who have not released albums together in decades have each announced tour dates.
Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth have announced a series of West Coast dates for their 2016 All Souled Out Tour. HipHopDX announced the concert dates and venues. Earlier this year, the Mount Vernon, New York producer/MC/DJ and New Rochelle, New York MC were photographed together in the Bronx-based D.I.T.C. Studios, perhaps signaling music to come.
Each artist, as a solo act, has released new music in 2016 as well. As C.L. Smooth hosted a remix competition with his latest single, “King,” Pete Rock has announced a forthcoming collaborative album with Smoke DZA titled Don’t Smoke Rock.
The 2016 All Souled Out Tour dates are as follows:

Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth’s 2004 Reunion Is Something We All Can Still Appreciate (Audio)
It has been more than 19 years since Nice & Smooth released their fourth album, IV: Blazing Hot. The pair of Greg Nice and Smooth B have toured and performed together since then, also appearing on Mims’ 2009 album, Guilt. In 2011, they released a video single for “No Delayin’.”
According to DX, they have announced a series of East Coast dates associated with their 30th anniversary, beginning this weekend. The Nice & Smooth 30th Anniversary Tour dates are as follows:

With DJ Teddy Ted, Nice & Smooth formed in 1986 in the Bronx, New York. Along with EPMD, Just-Ice, and Mantronix, they were instrumental artists on the Fresh/Sleeping Bag Records label of the late 1980s. Beyond their own four albums, Nice & Smooth would work with Gang Starr, Tupac Shakur, and Slick Rick, among others.
