Buckshot & Smif N Wessun Have a Boot Camp Clik Reunion on a Statik Selektah Banger (Video)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home. But, there are doubters, so, we need your help. If you have enjoyed anything on AFH over the last 7 years, we are asking you to subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Last week, Statik Selektah released his stellar Lucky 7 album on Duck Down Music. That compilation, which Statik says is his last solo project, features a smorgasbord of MCs, including Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson, Royce Da 5’9″, Your Old Droog, Rapsody, Big K.R.I.T., Styles P, Bun B and more. Ever acknowledging of Duck Down’s rich history, however, Statik also tapped into some of the label’s flagship artists, including Sean Price, Buckshot and Smif N Wessun.

The latter three are featured in the latest video from Lucky 7. “Murder Game” serves as a partial Boot Camp Clik reunion, as Buckshot and Smif N Wessun’s Tek & Steele man the mic alongside up-and-coming MC, Young M.A. Although it’s not Evil Dee behind the boards, Statik summons the dark and brooding menace of some of those early Clik records. The video, like the beat, is simple but penetrating, with its piercing black and white visuals. Check it out.
