Skyzoo & Pete Rock Are Making A Collaborative Album

Last week, legendary producer Pete Rock revealed that he plans to release The Return Of The SP1200. Named after the iconic Emu Systems sampler, the compilation project will include beats that Pete says he made between 1990 and 1998, but never used. JayLib/Beat Junkies member J. Rocc will provide scratches to the tracks from the producer who has made instrumental albums since 2001’s Petestrumentals.

In that same announcement, Pete alluded to releasing a collaborative album with Brooklyn, New Yorker Skyzoo. S-K-Y has since confirmed that news, adding that the two are currently at work now.

He has previously partnered with producers including Apollo Brown (The Easy Truth), !llmind (Live From The Tape Deck), and 9th Wonder (Cloud 9: 3 Day High).
