In 2024, Reggie Noble has linked with Montreal production crew Potatohead People for a crispy new single. “Last Nite” sounds like something Heads may have heard from a Native Tongues act in the middle-’90s. The Gilla House leader comes back for an encore verse about good times, good lovin’, and no stress. Longtime Potatohead collaborator Kapok handles the chorus. The producers break down the song in an interesting manner in place of a third verse.

“Last Nite” is issued by Bastard Jazz, the Brooklyn, New York-based label that has long worked with J Dilla’s brother Illa J as well as Tall Black Guy, Buscrates, and others.
