7 Days Of Funk (Snoop Dogg + Dam Funk) – Faden Away

I cannot say that I saw this coming. However, as Snoop Dogg links with Eddie Murphy, why not do a song with Electro-Funk contemporary artist Dam Funk? Dam has been on Stones Throw Records for a number of years, upholding that spacey, stoned style that's more Egyptian Lover and Arabian... Read more

Daz Dillinger & WC – Stay Out The Way ft Snoop Dogg (Video)

Daz and WC. It's fitting that these two guys would eventually make an album together. In the late 1990s, Suge Knight notoriously blocked many of his artists from feature appearances on peer projects that weren't on the label (see Warren G's first two albums, "Regulate" aside). Coming from Low Profile... Read more

Stalley is one of my favorite MCs of the last 12 months. Aside from just being plain dope, he has 2 incredibly rare distinctions in today’s hip-hop landscape.

1. He does not curse, and 2. The vast majority of his music does not contain samples. No judgements against either cursing or sampling (some of the greatest to ever do it do both to the fullest) but it's hard to find a credible rapper post 1987 who does this.... Read more

Fresh off his new label signing, Wale just dropped 2 hot new videos. Check out The Break Up Song and The MC.

As you probably know, Wale recently signed to Rick Ross' Maybach Music.  It's unclear how this may affect his sound in the future, but The Break Up Song and The MC, both from Wale's 2010 More About Nothing mixtape, are vintage Wale.   The Break Up Song rocks a cool Stevie... Read more
